Goodbye dry hair!

Currently I’m using shampoo and conditioner from the same brand (The Body Shop). I’m using the shampoo and conditioner for dry hair. I have to say I like them both. By the way they’re eco-conscious products, which is another bonus.

The Rainforest Moisture Shampoo is great and it’s not that expensive either. This formula is hydrating and it doesn’t weigh my hair down. This product has no silicones or sulphates or parabens or colorants. It contains pracaxi oil, manketti nut oil and some Community Trade honey and sugar.  By the way this shampoo doesn’t lather much because it has no sulfates. The weird part is that this shampoo makes my hair curly, I didn’t see that one coming, but I like that. I understand now why this is a best seller.

The Rainforest Moisture Conditioner is another best seller. It doesn’t weight my hair down and it’s very hydrating. The smell isn’t bad either. My issue is the bottle of the conditioner (poor packaging). It takes a workout to get the product out. By the way a little goes a long way with this conditioner. My hair has never been softer. Goodbye dry hair!

New Hair, Don’t Care

New season, new trends and new hair! This kind of change is good. I cut my hair today, I choosed a short bob and I love it. It frames my face better. Long locks no more.

So, what about you? Thinking about getting a hair cut?

I think you should, and not because you’ll save shampoo and conditioner, but because it feels good to do something a little different.

Thanks for reading!

P.S.: Let me know if you get a haircut, I’d like to know.

How to treat and prevent acne

There’s no need to mention all the reasons acne needs to be treated, I think we all know why acne is such a big issue. La Roche Posay has a line of products called Effaclar. The Effaclar range does wonders for people who have imperfection-prone skin.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant is a product I mentioned several times. Use it once or twice weekly in the evening. Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity becomes unpleasant or painful, keep in mind this is a drying item and redness is normal. If your skin is too sensitive this may not work. This is nothing like a peel, however it’s a good enough exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Use this product like you would use any other toner, but never get it near your eyes. You will not like the effect. You should also keep in mind to wear at least SPF15 if you use this product regularly. You can also use this product on your neck or back. And in no circumstance it should be used on blemishes that are “open”.

La Roche Posay Effaclar A.I. Targeted Breakout Corrector is simply wonderful. I have a post dedicated to this product which you will be able to read in the link below this paragraph.

If you want to ask about a more specific detail please leave a comment and I will reply as soon as possible.

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

Thank you very much for nominating me chicgeek123, now I’ll move on to the questions!

Here’s her post by the way:

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

What made you decide to start blogging?

I’m not sure actually, it was an impulse thing. I thought to try it once and see how I like it and I’ve been doing it ever since June.

Who are your biggest beauty inspirations?

Essie Button, Amelia Liana and Lily Pebbles.

What is your favorite makeup brand? (High-end and Drugstore)?

I don’t have a high-end favorite brand, but Essence is my favorite drugstore brand.

What is the one makeup product you can’t live without?

Powder; it always helps. Essence all about matt fixing compact powder is a really good one.

If you could only apply 3 products to your face, what would they be?

Concealer, powder and lipstick.

 Favorite makeup trend?

I don’t really have one.

Makeup trend you wish would go away?

Too-nude lips. Bronzer overload deserves some mentioning too.

 Favorite place to buy makeup?

I don’t have one yet.

 Biggest makeup regret?

Glitter eyeliner for sure.

 Favorite part of wearing makeup?

Most days it makes me look better.

August 2014 Favorites

The products that I have been loving this month are the Essence all about matt fixing compact powder, my eyelash curler (I can’t remember the brand), the Kiko Exotic Shine Lipstick in Nº5, the Labello SOS Lip Repair and the Je T’aime A la folie eau de toilette.

Essence all about matt fixing compact powder is a really nice setting powder. It delivers a semi matte finish. This powder adds no coverage and it doesn’t accentuate dry patches. I love how this powder controls oiliness and blurs imperfections. This compact it’s inexpensive as well.  The Essence all about matt fixing compact powder is such a joy to use.

My second love of the month is curling my eyelashes. This wasn’t something I used to do at all, I never thought it would cause such a difference, but now I do.

The Kiko Exotic Shine Lipstick in Nº5 is something I already mentioned a couple of times. I even wrote a post just for this lipstick, because it’s that’s great. If you fancy knowing more, please read the post about it.

The Labello SOS Lip Repair is a must have. This is one of those products that literally have an impact on your life, because let’s face it, who doesn’t want to have hydrated lips? It’s a wonder in a tube!

The Je T’aime A la folie eau de toilette has such a subtle scent, and that’s why I like it so much. It’s girly and dainty!

Thank you for taking the time to read this post!
